Learning with Mbali is a non- profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through education, holistic support, and mental wellness. While our primary focus is on providing educational resources to foundation phase children, we also recognize the importance of addressing basic needs, mental health, and overall well being to ensure optimal learning and development.

Our projects

In addition to our educational initiatives, our goals include

NUTRITION EDUCATION AND FOOD PROVISION

We provide meals at different schools to ensure that children have the necessary nourishment to thrive academically and physically. We understand that children need food to focus on their education and reach their full potential.

SCHOOL MENSTRUAL HYGIENE SUPPORT

Through our sanitary pad drives, we aim to eliminate barriers to education caused by the lack of access to menstrual hygiene products. We believe that no girl should miss out on learning opportunities due to the unavailability of sanitary pads.

MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMS AND TOOLS

We recognize the importance of mental health in the lives of children. To address this, we have developed a Feeling’s Journal that will be distributed free of charge to underprivileged schools. Our journal provides a safe outlet for children.

MY FEELINGS JOURNEY

A drive that highlights the idea that the “My Feelings Journal” is a companion for kids on their emotional journey, helping them navigate and understand their feelings as they grow and flourish in society.

LITERACY LEADERS

This campaign will see adult volunteers campaigning as leaders to promote literacy and reading skills in foundation phase schools throughout the country or as we are presented with opportunities.

FUEL FOR LEARNING

A campaign to provide school children with the necessary fuel to learn and grow, emphasising the importance of nutrition and regular meals in their educational journey.

SANITARY FREEDOM

This campaign will see volunteers providing advice to young girls throughout South Africa to empower them to focus on their education without being held back by period related issues.
